Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting of Gorsley & Kilcot

held on Monday 7th April 2025 at 7.30pm.

Present: Parish Council Chair, 25 Parishioners, County Councillor Gill Moseley.

In attendance: Charlee Roberts (Clerk to Gorsley & Kilcot Parish Council)

 

1.         The Chair welcomed all to the Parish Meeting and thanked for attending.  

2.         Following invitations being circulated apologies for absence were received from a few parishioners.

3.         Minutes of the 2024 Annual Parish Meeting were approved and signed.

4.         The Parish Council Chair gave a report overviewing the last 25 years of the Parish Council. Thanks specifically given to Cllr Graham Price for his contributions to the Parish, he is now retiring from the Council after 25 years of continual service.  

5.         The Chair provided a brief overview of the past year.

6.         A Report was provided by County Councillor Gill Moseley this was read at the meeting and covered the Daffodil bus service, Robin bookable bus, petition for use of waste recycling centres across the Herefordshire border, devolution and noted that she was pleased to have been able to assist with the footbridge that has been installed in the parish.

No report was provided by the District Councillor.  

7.         Public Questions –

Bus stop at the layby on Kilcot Cross in a state of disarray, Council noted that Highways hold responsibility and the Council are in discussion to get this resolved.

Internet speeds in the Parish, GM noted explanations and discussed ways this can be moved forwards.  

 

Rev Mason thanked all members of the Council for their work over the years.
