Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting of Gorsley & Kilcot

held on Tuesday 4^th May 2021 at 6.30pm by Zoom

Present: 6 Parish Councillors and 1 parishioner

In attendance: Mrs Arin Spencer (Clerk to Gorsley & Kilcot Parish Council)

1. Cllr Nigel Warwick chaired the meeting and welcomed everybody to the meeting.

2. Apologies for absence were accepted from Cllr Nigel Poole and Caroline Warwick.

3. The approval of the minutes of the 2019 Annual Parish Meeting were proposed by Cllr Graham Price, seconded by Cllr David Clough and agreed unanimously. There had been no Annual Parish Meeting in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

4. All Reports and the minutes of the 2019 Annual Parish Meeting had been available on the Council website. The following reports were taken as read:

a) Gorsley & Kilcot Parish Council Chairman’s Report: There were no questions.

b) Gorsley & Kilcot Parish Council Financial Report: There were no questions.

c) Police Report: The police report had not been received in time for the meeting. Once received it will be published on the Council’s website.

5. Report from District Cllr Roger Yeates: A report had been requested but the Clerk had received no report and Cllr Yeates did not attend the meeting.

County Cllr Will Windsor-Clive could not submit a report as the meeting date fell within the Purdah period preceding the County Council elections on 6 May 2021.

6. Public Questions:

A member of the public noted the clearing of foliage and repairs to the Kilcot bus shelter completed by Council. It was suggested that a mural might brighten up this Council asset.

Council noted the suggestion and agreed to consider the idea. A volunteer to paint the mural would need to be found.

As there was no further business, the meeting was closed at 6.41pm.

These minutes will be signed at the 2022 Annual Parish Meeting.
